Update for volunteers regarding COVID-19 concerns:

Capital Caring Health leadership is constantly monitoring CDC updates and making needed changes to our protocols based on CDC recommendations. unfortunately, we are temporarily suspending in-person visits from volunteers to help ensure we minimize any possible unintended exposure for patients and families – as well as helping safeguard the wellbeing of our volunteers as more cases are being reported in our service areas. Many nursing facilities and assisted living communities are also prohibiting all visitation except from medical staff.

We hope many of you will assist making supportive telephone calls, where appropriate, to those you have been visiting and might also assist us with tuck-in calls for all patients in each region. We also invite volunteers to write letters, make cards, and do other creative things to support our familie

Opportunities for under 18 year olds are limited.
  • In which neighborhood would you like to volunteer? Please note that Adler and Sibley are inpatient units. In Arlington, Alexandria, Merrifield, Loudoun, Manassas/Prince William, Maryland, and Washington DC, volunteers visit patients and families in their homes or at long-term care facilities.
Please select all you would be interested in.
Capital Caring Health is seeking committed and dedicated volunteers. We ask volunteers commit to a minimum of one year of service, with a typical average of 4-8 hours per month of volunteer service.
