Giuseppe Testa

He is Professor of Molecular Biology at the University of Milan. Testa pioneered new stem cell genome engineering strategies, and his lab is at the leading edge of epigenetics research and iPSC based disease modelling. Key contributions include the functional characterization of histone demethylases in neural development, the elucidation of epigenetic mechanisms underlying cell reprogramming, and the assembly of the largest cohort of iPSCs from patients with neurodevelopmental disorders that benchmarked new analytical standards for the disease modelling field. Testa is a an ERC Consolidator Grant holder, participates in several EU Research Networks, the ERA-NET Neuron project on brain epigenomics and has a long standing record of supervising ESRs.
